We provide primary care for babies, children, and young adults so they can be healthy, thrive, and leap forward.
We provide primary care for babies, children, and young adults so they can be healthy, thrive, and leap forward.
At Leap Pediatric and Adolescent Care, we go Back to Basics in order to support you, your family, and your community as your babies, children, and adolescents move through their health and wellness journey.
Dr. Julia Joseph-Di Caprio is an experienced Twin Cities pediatrician and adolescent medicine expert. She started Leap Pediatric and Adolescent Care to offer independent, high quality primary care that meets each family’s and community’s unique needs.
We provide high-quality care and service, and require the same of the healthcare providers we work with.
The voices you hear when you call Leap belong to the same people you see when you come to clinic, including Dr. Julia. If you need labs done – we do them in clinic and then call you to talk through the results.
It can be hard navigating healthcare systems, so if your child need care outside of Leap we walk with you to remove barriers to getting that care, and provide information and follow up about that care.
Pediatricians specialize in the care of children and adolescents from birth through early adulthood. We also provide parents with support and advice with issues such as growth and development, safety and prevention, nutrition, and emotional wellness to foster a lifetime of good health.
Well child visits are a vital part of your child’s health care, and they typically follow this schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
During a check-up, we evaluate growth, development, vision, speech and hearing. These visits also provide an opportunity to discuss child safety, nutrition, accident prevention and anticipated changes in behavior and development. During some visits your child will receive immunizations and screening tests of blood and urine.
We encourage parents to keep a list of questions they may have and bring the list to the visit.
We understand that children can become ill quickly and unexpectedly, which is why we reserve a portion of our daily schedule for sick children. When at all possible, we try to schedule same-day sick appointments.
Dr. Julia Joseph-Di Caprio (Dr. Julia) is the founder of Leap Pediatric and Adolescent Care. She has lived in the St. Paul-Minneapolis area for more than 30 years. Dr. Julia has practiced pediatrics and adolescent medicine, collaborated with organizations, and served in healthcare leadership roles and on boards to make an impact in her community. She saw the continued and growing need for high quality healthcare for those who face the greatest barriers to health and wellness. With many partners, Dr. Julia is building Leap Pediatric and Adolescent Care to address this need.
The Leap Pediatric and Adolescent Care Board of Directors are experienced clinicians, community builders, health care leaders, and youth wellness proponents. They are committed to change so that everyone can be healthy and thrive.
Please support Leap Pediatric and Adolescent Care so we can bring health care to babies, children, and youth in St. Paul’s Midway area. The need is great.
We are a non-profit with 501(c)3 status; your donation is tax-deductible. We will not share or sell your contact information.
