Sheila Riggs Board Secretary
Sheila Riggs is the Chair of the Department of Primary Dental Care at the University of Minnesota. She is a cohesive integrator who disrupts the status quo in the name of better patient care, stronger team leadership, and enhanced processes. With a Doctor of Dental Science degree from University of Iowa, Dr. Riggs also holds certifications from the Wharton School of Business Executive Education Program. Her experience includes serving as CEO Delta Dental of Minnesota and executive roles at Wellmark Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Iowa and South Dakota and its Foundation. Sheila is a highly sought expert on change management, leading others to execute on evolutionary strategies. She has diverse board leadership experience and embodies her tagline “Collaborate. Build.
